Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip oil Review

Trilogy products are created from simple and unique blends of the purest natural plant oils and botanical extracts working in perfect harmony to restore and maintain the natural vitality and radiance of skin.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 20ml – £16.50 is a super food for the skin.  Rosehip oil is extracted from the seeds of organically grown Rosa Canina (rosehip fruit) which grow predominantly in the Chilean Andes.

Rosehip oil is extremely rich in vitamins and antioxidants, especially Vitamin C, Vitamin A (retinol), and high in Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids – all superstars for skin and hair health

Rosehip oil benefits:

  • great treatment for dry and sensitive skin
  • great for eczema and psoriasis
  • helps to reduce scars
  • reduces the appearance of premature aging skin (wrinkles, crow’s feet and fine lines)
  • aids in reducing redness associated with facial rosacea
  • useful in treating acne
  • treats sun damage
  • helps even skin tone (hyper-pigmentation, ages spots or minor skin discolorations)

Trilogy’s rosehip expertise ensures the finest quality oil with minimum 80% essential fatty acid (omega 3 and 6). Their rosehip oil comes in a dark glass bottle to preserve the ingredients, so keep away from direct sunlight.  It comes with a glass pipette which is handy and makes it so practical to use.

Rosehip Oil has a golden yellow colour and a subtle earthy smell.

I have no choice but to simplify daily beauty routines, (long were the days that getting ready to leave the house took 1-2 hours.  16 years later,  getting ready in the morning with three small children is like a full body (and voice) workout!

Therefore, I cleanse and exfoliate in the shower; pat dry and quickly spread my oil, followed by the first moisturiser I see (as you guessed, I ditch the toner in the morning).

Unlike some oils, rosehip oil is light and sinks into the skin without leaving you with a greasy shiny face.  You can try adding one or two drops to your usual skin moisturiser for a skin boost.

Before bedtime I always make sure I remove my makeup, shower and follow the same routine this time round I tone, and add a firming eye cream to compensate.  I like to spread my oil followed by my cream on my neck, cleavage and top of my hands. It’s just an OCD thing. Everything comes in 3’s!

If you’re anything like me and in chronological order you: caked yourself with cheap makeup and slept with it all throughout your teenage years; yo-yo dieted; blessed to have given birth three times; breastfed for 3.5 years in total and had chickenpox as an adult ….. Then rosehip oil is your answer.  Just apply it directly to the affected area.

I’m a devoted fan of facial/ body oils – in fact, I prefer them to creams; rosehip, argan and prickly pear seed are my absolute favorites.

Don’t expect immediate miracles. Sometimes we fail to see results because we jump from one product to another.

My advice is to be consistent and let the products work.  Allow your skin to absorb all the goodness and give it time to heal; you can’t expect to eat healthily one day and see results the following day.

Be patient and consistently consistent.

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip oil is also available in 45ml

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about the wonders of Rosehip seed oil as much as I enjoyed sharing my experience.
