My Fave Picks For Valentines 💗

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and while I’m really not one for commercial holidays, I do like to indulge and pamper that special someone…ME.

So while the kids are on half term, I thought this would be the perfect time to try out some new pampering treats from LoveLula

my fave picks for valentines

GK Natural Creations Himalayan Rose Bath Salts 300g | £7.50

Pink Himalayan Rock Bath salt with Rose petals. Scented with amazingly balancing blend of essential oils of Geranium, Lavender and Orange.

GK Natural creations himalayan rose bath salts

Ingredients: Sodium Chloride, Rosa Centifolia (Rose) Flower petals, Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Limonene*, Linalool*, Citronellol*, Geraniol*. * from essential oils

It’s hard to run a bath in my home without the kids constantly asking:

“mummy what you doing, can we have a relaxing bath with you?”

On the rare occasions when I manage to secretly run a bath, I love an aromatherapy bath.

This is my first time trying a product from GK Natural Creations.  Himalayan salts have so many amazing benefits.

If you adore rose scents, you will love this…it smells absolutely divine.  It was great running the bath and seeing the rose petals floating.  I felt so pampered after my bath, my skin was super soft and smelt amazing.

I would definitely recommend this, it feels very luxurious without an expensive price tag.

JOIK Strawberry & Wine soy wax scented candle 145g | £12.50

A romantic, luxurious and intoxicating mix of strawberries, hyacinth, cassis, white flowers and sandalwood blended with lily of the valley and apple cider.  Reminiscent of ice cold champagne and sweet, sun-ripe strawberries…

Joik strawberry & wine soy scented candle

Ingredients – Soy wax, quality cosmetic grade fragrance oils, cotton wick

Candle is hand poured.

Approximate burn time ca. 30 hours in glass tumbler.

I prefer to use soy candles.  They burn cleaner and last longer without the toxins and pollutants you get from regular paraffin candles.  They are also completely biodegradable.

This is my first Joik candle and I absolutely love it.  Once lit, the scent is gradually released.  I love that the scent is not overpowering, you just enjoy the delicate scent which is truly reminiscent of ice cold champagne and sweet strawberries.

Weleda Wild Rose Creamy Body Wash 200ml | £7.95

The velvet bloom of rose petals on your skin – that’s the feeling as you wash under warm water with our Wild Rose Creamy Body Wash. Deeply skin-nourishing oil from organic rosehip seeds is blended with perfume from damask rose petals, and the delicate rose scent indulges the senses even as essential lipids and vitamins care for your skin. Your body feels soft and smooth, your spirit harmonised, all from one wash!

Ingredients – Water (Aqua), Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Coco-Glucoside, Alcohol, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Glycerin, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Rose Moschata Seed Oil, Rosa Damascena Extract, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid, Fragrance (parfum) , Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Citral, Eugenol. From natural essential oils (i.e. naturally present in the essential oils). Ve – suitable for vegans.

I’m a big fan of Weleda.  I’m a girly girl and love rose scented products.  This is one of my favourite rose scented body washes.

The scent is really soothing and divine without being overpowering.   The consistency is very creamy and a little really does go a long way.  A small amount on my loofah creates a foamy emulsion which gently cleanses the skin and leaves it soft and moisturised.

I also find it’s great to use when shaving as it’s moisturising.

Balm Balm Body Oil Indulge 100ml | £16

This blend is exotic and enigmatic.  Made from Ylang Ylang, Patchouli and Clary Sage essential oils infused into evening primrose, peach kernel, rosehip & jojoba oils and nothing else.
Balm balm indulge body oil
Ingredients – Prunus Persica Kernel Oil, Oenothera biennis Oil, Simmondsia chinensis Seed Oil, Rosa canina Fruit Oil Cananga oderata Flower Oil, Pogostemon cablin Oil, Salva sclarea Oil
This is my first time trying this body oil.  I have a thing for  ylang ylang.  This body oil is truly intoxicating, uplifting and romantic.
I applied it on damp skin and it absorbs well, leaving my skin pampered and moisturised.

This is a great post. I love how you themed your choices around roses and the pink colours of the packaging look amazing with the flowers. Your photography is just stunning! Roses are really all the rage at the moment and I’m using a lot of products containing them too. I love Balm Balm like you and your other choices look lovely too.
