We all have our favourite signature perfume. You definitely want to avoid synthetic perfumes that are loaded with harmful chemicals, harsh alcohols, phthalates, parabens, allergens and neurotoxins as these get absorbed into the body and have been known to cause allergic reactions.
Making the switch to natural perfume can be rather daunting but it’s worth it. Take your time, experiment until you find the right scents that suit you.
I’ve tried a few products from Pacifica which were great so I decided to try their perfume range. They have a nice selection of perfumes…. citrus/fruity, floral, sweet, woody, oriental and spicy scents.
I love the idea of portable perfume as it makes it easy to refresh my scent on the go. Unlike perfume sprays, I don’t have to worry about it spilling or the bottle breaking. I can just pop it in my handbag or pocket and go!
So I picked out some products from their range of Solid perfume and roll-on to try out…
Pacifica Solid Perfumes are made with organic soy and coconut wax and Pacifica’s signature perfume blends with essential and natural oils.
- Small enough to carry in your handbag, ideal for travel
- Beautifully packaged in a vintage-inspired printed tin and Pacifica’s signature box
- No phthalates, parabens, petroleum, GMO, propylene glycol or artificial colours
- Not tested on animals
- 100% vegan and Gluten-free
The fragrances I chose were:
Waikiki Pikake, Indian Coconut Nectar and Hawaiian Ruby Guava
– Each solid perfume comes in a recyclable metal tin in a cardboard box. They are the perfect size to easily fit in my pocket or handbag. I love the packaging, bright and colourful. Each tin is 10g and retails for £10 which is reasonable.
The solid perfume has a soft balm-like texture which makes it easy to apply. It melts well on contact with the skin. I apply and massage it to my pulse points; behind the ears, wrists, and neck. The scents last roughly 4-5 hours and then fades.
An homage to the lush wooded and flowered paradise of old world Hawaii, this hauntingly beautiful blend combines sweet Pikake – a delicate, exquisite jasmine flower native to Hawaii – with sensuous and velvety sandalwood.
This solid perfume is exquisite with a sweet, floral and woody scent. The scent is perfect for me and not overpowering. I found the scent lasts longer than the other two I chose and it’s my favourite too… unique and exotic.
It is said that coconut water comes straight from the ocean. This warm blend of sultry fresh coconut, delicate vanilla and creamy vetiver is exotic and ambrosial.
I love the beautiful scent of creamy coconut and sweet vanilla…. so warm and enticing. Makes me feel dreamy and takes me to a tropical paradise!
A tropical blend of sweet juicy guava and citrusy pomello come to life in a base of subtle coconut. The scent of the South Pacific.
Yummy, juicy guava…one of my favourite fruit growing up. We had some locally grown and I enjoyed eating them regularly… I do miss it.
This solid perfume is reminiscent of fresh guava with subtle citrus notes and coconut. The scent is sweet…tropical, fresh and fruity.

The fragrances I chose were:
Island Vanilla, Tuscan Blood Orange and French Lilac
Each perfume roll-on comes in a recyclable glass bottle with rollerball in a cardboard box.
They are portable and handy on the go, easily fit in my handbag. The packaging is eye-catching, they come in beautifully printed glass and colourful boxes.
Each roll-on is 10ml and retails for £12.
The stainless steel roller-ball makes it convenient and easy to use. I apply to my pulse points; behind the ears, wrists, and neck. It can be worn alone or layered with any Pacifica signature fragrance or body butter.
The scents last a bit longer than the solid perfume, roughly 6-7 hours and then fades.
Inspired by the luscious Tahitian Islands, this beautifully sophisticated exotic blend of Tahitian vanilla, loved for its fruity and slightly floral aroma, anchored with creamy, rich bourbon vanilla.
Surprisingly this is not your typical vanilla fragrance. The scent is so gorgeous, sweet, warm and spicy with lush floral notes. Unlike some vanilla fragrances, this one is not overly sweet and overpowering. Sometimes I wear it on its own but it’s also lovely to layer with the Tuscan Blood orange perfume to create a custom fragrance which is reminiscent of John Masters Blood orange and Vanilla.
In this delectable blend, juicy and spicy blood orange is offset with subtle strawberry and raspberry notes and grounded in fleshy mandarin and Italian sweet orange. An orange connoisseur’s dream.
I absolutely love this fragrance, it is so uplifting and like a little burst of sunshine! The scent is sweet, fresh and zesty. It is perfect to wear on its own but also works well with the Island Vanilla perfume to create a unique fragrance.
Perfumed in a traditional French style, this fresh scent conjures spring with a blend of lilac, magnolia leaves, heliotrope, ylang ylang, hyacinth and subtle notes of nectarine. Alluring and romantic. This is truly the best Lilac ever.
“I am always wonderfully surprised when I smell the first blooms of spring lilacs. It is as if each year I forget how amazing this flower smells. But the fleeting blossoms, symbolic of the first moments of love, innocence and purity, are soon just a memory. This joyful blend attempts to capture that blissful time and place.” Brook, Pacifica Founder
I love floral scents but sadly this one just didn’t do it for me. I just found the scent too overpowering on its own. It’s perfect when I layer it with the Island Vanilla perfume and creates a unique fragrance.
I love these perfumes and would definitely recommend them, you can play around with layering them to find your signature scent. You can check out their range of perfume roll-on, solid perfume, spray perfume and reed perfumes here
