Kaé Argatherapie Natural Rhassoul from Morocco, 200g

This natural clay powder is extracted from ancient deposits in the Atlas mountains of northern Morocco where it is called “rhassoul,” and has been used for centuries for hair and body hammam (steam room) treatments. It is extraordinarily rich in minerals— including natural silica, magnesium, potassium, and calcium—and blends with water to smooth and purify face, skin, and hair.

Studies have shown that it reduces dryness and flakiness, improves skin clarity and elasticity, and has an extractive effect to remove impurities and unblock pores. Type of care : Face, body, hair care for all types of skin

Ingredients:

Moroccan Lava clay

Mix clay with warm water to make a smooth paste. Apply to skin or hair as a soap, skin conditioner, shampoo, or face and body mask.

For mask, leave on for 8-10 minutes for dry skin, 10-15 minutes for normal skin, and 15-20 minutes for oily skin. Rinse in tepid water. Use a washcloth or other gentle cleansing pad to remove any pore impurities that have been brought to the surface.

Follow with argan oil to seal in the benefits and preserve the fine texture left by the clay treatment. Can be blended with argan oil or water.

I’ve been using rhassoul clay for a number of years and it is a firm favourite. If you’re looking to cleanse and detoxify your skin and hair without drying or stripping it, then give Rhasoul clay a try.

Rhassoul clay is renowned for its healing, detoxifying, and absorptive qualities.

Ways I use Rhassoul clay

Do not use metal spoons or bowls to mix your clay as contact with metal could affect the mineral structure of rhassoul.

Detox Face Mask

  • 1 tsp Rhassoul clay
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp rosewater
  1. Mix the rhassoul clay, honey and rosewater together in a plastic /glass/ceramic bowl. Stir well with a plastic/wooden spoon to form a smooth paste..
  2. Apply the mask in a thin even layer to cleansed skin. Leave on for 15 minutes.
  3. Rinse well with warm water.
  4. Tone and moisturise afterwards.

I use this detox face mask twice a week. Rhassoul clay does a superb job of detoxifying and purifying my skin. It removes excess oils, dead skin cells and draws out blackheads and other impurities from my skin.

My skin is clean, brighter, super soft and smooth.

If your skin is suffering from spots, pimples, blemishes and uneven tone, this is the face mask for you.

Detox hair shampoo

  • 3-6 tablespoons Rhassoul clay (depending on the length of your hair)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons warm water
  • non-metal bowl and spoon

How to Apply Mask to Hair

  1. Mix Rhassoul clay with apple cider vinegar and warm water in a glass/plastic/wooden bowl. The mixture will fizz for a few seconds.
  2. Leave for 3 minutes (this allows the clay to swell and absorb the liquid). Stir the mask with a plastic or wooden spoon/spatula to make a smooth paste.
  3. Section hair into 4 and apply the clay to damp hair from the roots to the tips using your fingers or a mask brush.
  4. Cover hair with a shower cap and leave on for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Massage the scalp for about 2-3 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly, condition and style as usual.

  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon Argan Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 3 drops Peppermint essential oil
  • 5-6 tablespoons water / aloe vera juice

  1. Mix the rhassoul clay with water or aloe vera juice.
  2. Leave for 3 minutes (this allows the clay to swell and absorb the liquid). Add the oils and honey.
  3. Stir the mask with a plastic or wooden spoon/spatula to make a smooth paste.
  4. Section hair into 4 and apply the mask to freshly washed hair from the roots to the tips ensuring all strands are coated.
